My name is Shannon. I am a 46-year-old mother of 2 adult children, ages 27 and 23. I have over 10 years of experience teaching and working in childcare. I've worked at our local school, after-school programs, and a summer program. I have been teaching children out of my home, now, for 8 years. I have taken care of children ranging in age from newborn all the way to 13 years old. Right now, I specialize in Preschool for children ages 3-5. I teach children through play and traditional methods, giving them the tools they need to be successful in Kindergarten. Kids I have taught in the past have gone on to win awards in ELA, Spelling, and Handwriting. They are also advanced in Math. I have plenty of references from local teachers and community leaders, if interested.
